For the past 5 months, RISA in partnership with Development partners such as GIZ and Smart Africa Secretariat, organized trainings in different topics for the IT workforce working in the public sector, in order to respond to the surging skills development demand in IT professional courses.

One hundred (100) staff from different IT Public institutions have been trained in IT professional courses such as CCNP, CompTIA Sec+, MongoDB, Python Programming, Microsoft Azure. This project was implemented in partnership with Smart Africa and it was aiming to improve and upskill IT Public staff in their own designated areas of work.

It is also well recognized that IT technical skills overlap with other professional skill sets such as Project Management, Business Analysis and soft skills. It is against this background that RISA in partnership with GIZ organized trainings in Project Management, Business Analysis and certified Scrum Master. About 60 staff made up of Senior Managers, Chief Digital Officers, Business Analysts and projects’ lead from different Ministries and affiliated agencies benefited from these training programs.
