The CEO of RISA urges Government ICT staff to excel beyond expectations
He announced this during the meeting that brought together more than 130 ICT staff from government institutions, agencies and Ministries including Chief Digital Officers across all sectors. The meeting was held on September22, 2023 at NISR building.
In his opening remarks, the CEO recognized the efforts deployed by IT staff during COVID pandemic despite all the challenges they were facing. He highlighted that all required services were delivered, all high-level meetings were virtually held thanks to the teamwork of IT staff across all sectors. He further requested them to keep the momentum and deliver beyond expectations more so because they have what it takes in terms of skills and also because their working conditions have improved a lot.
While highlighting current priorities in ICT sector which includes continuous government service automation, digital literacy for citizens and continued connectivity, he requested them to deliver fast and do quality work and achieve required targets by June 2024.
Participants also benefited from a lecture on public service regulations and procedures in general, labor law as well data protection and privacy law which will come into effect after October 15th, 2023.
