RISA's Presence at the Carnegie Mellon University Africa Career Fair provided students with a deeper understanding of Rwandan ICT Sector
Rwanda Information Society Authority (RISA) participated in the Carnegie Mellon University Africa Career Fair, an event that took place on March 8, 2024 and aimed at connecting top-tier technology related talent with leading organizations. RISA's presence at the career fair underscored its commitment to driving Rwanda's digital transformation and fostering young talents in the ICT sector.
During the event, students and graduates had the opportunity to explore the diverse opportunities available at RISA, especially in the fields of software development, cybersecurity, data audit and analysis as well as digital innovation. RISA representatives engaged with students, sharing insights into the institution’s impactful projects and the meaningful work being done to empower Rwandan community through improving their digital literacy and hence improved government service delivery.
Interactive discussions by RISA representatives provided students with a deeper understanding of topics such as artificial intelligence in the workplace, smart cities, drone ecosystem, cybersecurity and machine learning among others. These discussions sparked meaningful thoughts and offered valuable insights into the latest trends shaping the digital landscape especially in the Rwandan ICT sector.
As a result of RISA's participation in the Carnegie Mellon University Africa Career Fair, the organization was able to showcase its dedication to driving innovation and fostering talent in the technology sector.
The career fair started from 9 am to 4pm.
